Monday
Nature Photography with Mary Ann Melton
Our digital photography program will focus on learning photography skills while photographing and exploring the natural world around them. Activities will be both photographic and nature based.

Tuesday
Art with Jennifer Jones
Our purpose at this level is to engage the children and spark an enthusiasm for the creative process based on the child’s on-going developmental eye-hand coordination and motor skills. Also, to enable the children to develop a basic knowledge of artistic expression, using two and three dimensional media, and to further their artistic talents through hands on art experiences. Through the study of art techniques, history and culture, the children will make connections from art lessons that will enrich their life experiences.

Wednesday
Yoga with Jody French
Your child will improve strength and flexibility of their mind and body in this class. Yoga enhances mental, emotional and physical health through the use of movement, stress management and the connection between brain, body and breath.

Thursday
Baseball with Anthony Guajardo
Come learn the fundamentals of baseball with Coach Anthony. In this class the children will learn pitching, catching and hitting along with the rules of America’s favorite pastime. Coach Anthony has been playing baseball since he was a child and continues playing to this day. He is very excited to pass on his extensive knowledge and to help each child develop their baseball skills.

Friday
Capoeira
Capoeira for 1st through 6th graders combines self-defense, dance, acrobatics and music. Capoeira movements involve the entire body. Children develop strength and increase flexibility, develop focus, discipline, respect and leadership skills. Each class is divided into warm-up stretches and exercise, basic movements of Capoeira, series of attacks, moves and counter moves, music with traditional Capoeira instruments and songs in Portuguese, and jogo (game) which is a free style game of flowing attacks and escapes played between two Capoeiristas.
