Capital Campaign

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

Over the past three decades, CMS has helped thousands of children become life-long learners, creative problem-solvers and caring members of their community. We have grown from our humble beginnings with 13 preschoolers in a rented space to almost 200 students in our current infancy to 8th grade program on a beautiful 18 acre campus.

In 2017, the CMS Board of Directors passed a 5 year plan for growth. We successfully completed the first two phases in 2018 by opening new Children’s House and Casita classrooms. With the support of our family and friends, we launched a Capital Campaign in 2019 to fund our biggest project yet – the construction of a new building and the renovation of several other buildings on campus.

We are excited to announce that Phase Three is complete! Our newest building opened at the start of the 2019-2020 school year and our freshly renovated buildings are home to our new Adolescent Program and an additional Lower Elementary classroom.

Thank you to everybody who participated in our campaign and made this project possible.

Here are some photos of the construction during the Summer, 2019.

Construction began after the school year ended. The barn was removed, along with parking spots at the top of the playground.

Summer campers got a great education on power tools and land moving equipment.

New doors were cut into existing buildings.

The day the new building arrived on 4 huge trucks was so exciting.

A sidewalk was put in to connect the new building at the top of campus with the classrooms at the bottom of campus.

The old office building was renovated to become a classroom and library.

The foundation was set for our new building.

We were down to the wire with all the finishing touches.
