Like most non-profit schools, tuition alone does not cover the entire cost of running our school. Donations enrich every area of student life and ensure Community Montessori School continues to deliver an authentic Montessori education complete with unique opportunities, programs, and experiences. Thank you for supporting CMS!
We encourage all members of the CMS community to support the Annual Fund at the level that suits them – parents, grandparents, alumni, parents of alumni, trustees, faculty, staff, and friends of the School. Because contributions are used during the school year in which they are given, every contribution makes a difference that can be seen and felt on campus each year as we grow.
Tuition covers operation costs for the school and allows us to pay fair wages to our wonderful staff (more than 85% of our annual budget goes to staff costs). Donations allow us to enhance our programs and facilities, fund staff development, and invest in high quality educational materials for the classrooms.
Everyone! It takes a village to educate a child. We encourage everyone in the CMS community to donate - including grandparents, alumni, and friends of the school. Enrolled families can opt to make an annual contribution as part of the enrollment process.
CMS strives to keep tuition as affordable as possible so we can provide Montessori education to a wide variety of students. Asking those who can afford to donate, helps our diverse community thrive. In addition, donations are tax-deductible.
Community Montessori School does not receive any financial support from federal or state government. Unlike public schools, which are funded by tax dollars, CMS relies solely upon tuition and philanthropic gifts to meet operating and capital expenses.
Yes! Many employers will match employee contributions to non-profits like CMS. Check with your employer!
