Season of Giving
The holiday season is a time of giving, and Community Montessori School is excited to partner with Helping Hands of Georgetown for a school-wide food drive. This is a wonderful way to support those in need. Here are the details:
- Kickoff Date: Wednesday, December 4th
- Final Collection Date: Wednesday, December 18th
- Drop-off Locations: Collection boxes will be in every classroom & the school office.
Students can bring items to class during morning drop-off or parents can drop off anytime to the CMS office. Here is a list of the pantry's most needed items. Let’s make this season brighter for everyone in our local community. Together, we can show the true spirit of giving & make a meaningful impact! Thank you for your generosity and support.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
The chickens are coming home! We are excited to welcome a flock of 20 chickens back to CMS this Friday. Nova Adolescent students will have eggs for sale again soon.
We are currently seeking volunteers to feed the chickens on weekends. If you would like more information about becoming a chicken volunteer, please email Rachel at admissions@community-montessori.org

Weather permitting, the next All Ages Play will be on December 14th from 9 to 11am. The playground will be open for all to enjoy and parent volunteers are on hand to help out. Come have some fun!
For Small Hands Fundraiser
It's nearly the end of October and likely some of you are already thinking about the winter holidays. As you are considering gifts for your child this year, please take a look at the For Small Hands catalogue!
This is offered by Montessori Services, a company CMS has used for years to supplement Montessori materials in our classrooms. They have great toys & items for families wanting to continue with Montessori style at home. Give our school number when you order & CMS receives credit we can use for classroom supplies. It's a win-win! Here's our school number:
